Evan Raymer
Trip Development Specialist
Evan is a Trip Development Specialist at Music Travel Consultants, bringing a lifelong connection to music and student experiences into every trip he helps create. Originally from Columbus, IN, Evan attended Columbus North High School, where he was deeply involved in music as a percussionist in the state-finalist marching band and wind ensemble, as well as a bass guitarist in the 25th Street Jazz Band. One standout experience from that time was performing in the 58th Presidential Inauguration Parade — on a Music Travel Consultants trip — an early moment that highlighted the lasting impact of student travel. After graduating in 2017, Evan returned to Columbus North as a drumline instructor, spending five years mentoring students and supporting the marching band program.
Evan earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from Ball State University in 2020. Before joining MTC, he shifted into student support roles, working as a special education paraprofessional at Coastal Middle School in Savannah, GA, and later as a registered behavior technician at The Hope Source in Indianapolis, IN. These experiences strengthened Evan’s attention to detail, communication skills and passion for working behind the scenes to support others.
At MTC, Evan works closely with vendors to book tickets and meals, refines and organizes itineraries and calculates travel times to help ensure smooth, well-planned trips. What excites Evan most about the role is being part of a team that creates meaningful, lifelong memories for students across the country.
Outside of work, Evan enjoys thrifting, cooking, seeing live music, playing Fortnite, and cheering on the Indiana Pacers and Fever. He lives with his talented fiancée, Taylor, and their two black cats, Freddie and Baby David.
