Emily Ward

Travel Designer

Emily believes that music and traveling are both amazing opportunities for students and that combining the two together makes for an unbeatable memory.

She herself hails from Avon, Indiana, where she played trombone and euphonium in the Marching Black and Gold, Wind Ensemble, and various other musical groups throughout her high school career. She credits these activities more than any others for teaching her valuable life lessons in teamwork, discipline, and hard work.

Emily went on to Indiana University to get her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and East Asian Languages and Cultures, with an internship in South Korea that cemented her desire to travel to many distant places and encounter other people and cultures. She has now been to England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and South Korea, and hopes to see many more.

Emily has experienced firsthand the extreme dedication and hard work that students, staff, and supporters put into their programs each year, the order and organization required to get the band to its shows/concerts with everything they need, and the great satisfaction that comes from a job well done with everyone’s help. That is why she is dedicated to getting her trips on the road with everything they might require to not only help everyone perform their best but also to see new places and have a great time doing it!
