Robin Harting, Senior System Designer and Project Analyst for the Music Travel Consultants Family of Brands, is a highly impactful Woman in Group Travel. Robin’s keen analytic skills, intuitive grasp of what’s needed and what works, combined with her persuasive involvement of stakeholders and management has resulted in the creation and deployment of two full-blown, cutting edge, custom software systems for the travel industry.

Adding to her organizational and processes knowledge a thorough understanding of accounting, tour operations, meeting and event planning, she designed and drove the building of two multifaceted, turn-key systems for tour operators and meeting planners. Both client-facing and internal sides of these systems feature use of secure internet and mobile technologies that enable fast processing of trip sign-ups, payments, sales, operations and accounting transactions, plus extensive passenger document production, all in real time. Her implementation and continued management of this software has provided customers with online information, as well as easy sign­up and payment.

Robin was instrumental in designing and launching GiftLink, the company’s no-fee donation collection program, transferring 100% of all donations to the traveler account. Since releasing the fundraising portal, travelers have collected nearly one million dollars in contributions.

Music Travel has benefitted from a 45% productivity increase across all departments and staff. Fewer employees are needed to handle year-over-year growth in travelers and earnings.
